Perched 67 meters above the ground, the panoramic terrace of the Cité administrative offers one of the most impressive views of Liège. Accessible only one day per month, it remains relatively unknown—a truly unusual spot to admire the city from a different perspective.

360° panoramic view
From the top floor of the building (the 18th), the terrace offers a circular view of the Meuse River, the rooftops of Liège, the bridges, the Montagne de Bueren, and the hills and slopes surrounding the city. It is one of the few free observation points that allow you to take in the very hilly topography of Liège at a glance.
A little-known rooftop
Despite its incredible panorama, this place remains relatively discreet. Many Liège residents have never been there, as the terrace is not permanently accessible. This “well-kept secret” adds to the charm of the place and reinforces the feeling of being privileged when you get there.
Limited access and opening hours
The terrace is only open on the first Sunday of each month, from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. (last admission at 5:30 p.m.). Access is via the main entrance of the building, then by the public elevators that go up to the rooftop. The experience depends heavily on the weather: on a clear day, the view stretches far and wide; on a cloudy day, the atmosphere becomes more mysterious but just as photogenic.
An ideal location for photos and videos
Photography enthusiasts love this rooftop: the light changes rapidly, the sky is reflected in the buildings, and the different angles offer a variety of compositions. Videographers also find it an excellent vantage point for capturing shots of the city or sunsets.
