The Church of St. Agnes in the beguinage is a Gothic building whose construction began shortly after the beguinage was founded in 1265. Over the centuries, it has been enlarged several times. The oldest parts, notably the western façade and the first four bays of the nave, date back to the second half of the 13th century and feature elements of the late Romanesque and early Gothic styles.
