The Antwerp Stock Exchange was the first purpose-built commodity exchange. Falling into disuse in the 17th century, the restored building housed the Antwerp Stock Exchange from 1872 to 1997. After further restoration, the building is now part of an events venue which bears the English name Antwerp Trade Fair.
