Created by Danish artist Thomas Dambo, these gigantic creations were first unveiled several years ago as part of the Tomorrowland festival. These monumental sculptures, ranging from 4 to 18 meters in height, are permanently installed in the provincial domain De Schorre in Boom, near Antwerp.

Who is Thomas Dambo?
Thomas Dambo is the artist name of Thomas Winther Pedersen, born in 1979 in Odense, Denmark. He is a sculptor who specializes in creating works of art from recycled wood. In 2016, he created six giants made from recycled wood, located in selected locations in Copenhagen, near the forest, a lake, and a hill on the western outskirts of the city. He also created the giant sculpture “Stærke Storm” at KunstCentret Silkeborg Bad and several others throughout Denmark. In addition, he has built giants and trolls in the United States, Belgium, Germany, South Korea, and China. In 2023, he erected his 100th troll, located in the Hedeland area near Roskilde.

Tomorrowland, one of the world’s most popular and iconic music festivals, takes place in Boom and is organized and owned by the Beers brothers, the original founders.
