The Royal Crypt is located in the Church of Our Lady, in the northern part of Brussels, in the former municipality of Laeken. Beneath an octagonal chapel behind the church’s apse, you can find the tombs of all Belgian monarchs and close members of the royal family who have passed away since 1834. The coffins are arranged in a circle around those of Leopold I and his wife, who occupy the center of the crypt and are topped with a crown.
